Welcome and thanks for your visit! My name is Angie Stephens, and I have been a
practicing massage therapist since 1999. I love what I do, and my
clients say they can tell. Part of what I love is seeing people's faces and
bodies change, from tight and stressed when they arrive, to calm and
relaxed when they leave.
I
genuinely care about my clients, and that in combination with my
dedication to resolving their physical complaints creates a very
personal and effective massage experience.
I am not a "strictly-routine" therapist.
We will discuss your issues before your massage, and I'll focus on
those areas, even if this sometimes means
we agree to spend our session on a few specific areas rather than doing a
full-body massage. Over the years, I have come to realize that, for me,
an hour is not adequate time to both give a full body massage *and*
work on specific issues. It is for that reason that I specialize in
longer massages. (That being said, I do, of course, believe that shorter massages are beneficial, and am always willing to work within the your wants and needs.) For more information, see Why 90 Minutes?
In general, massage can help reduce stress, increase mental
clarity, deepen sleep, improve muscle tone and mobility, improve the immune and digestive systems of
the body, as well as relieve or reduce chronic and activity-related
muscle aches and pains.
I offer Deep Tissue Massage, Pregnancy Massage,
Trigger Point Therapy, Hot Stone Massage and Swedish Relaxation Massage. Together, we can
manage your muscular aches and pains, stress, fibromyalgia symptoms,
headaches (including migraines), sports injuries, frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis, bone
spurs, low back pain and more.
I look forward to having you on my table soon!
